A kointain is a Round, inert, clear plastic
capsule that fits snugly around a coin of the intended size. All
sides of the coin, including the edge, remain viewable. Coins in
kointains can be handled with the assurance that any fingerprints
will be left only on the plastic. Some
customers have reported that coins housed in Kointains have
retained their pristine appearance even after decades of storage.
Originally created in the late 1940's, Kointains have proven to be
an effective storage device for those collectors who wish to house
their coins in a round, virtually airtight, inert, encapsulating
holder. Kointains
can be placed in Saflips, 2x2 envelopes, staple type holders or
directly into pocket type albums. Kointains can even be placed in
cardboard, slide-type albums provided one size larger hole is used
(dimes into cent openings, etc.) Kointains are produced under
strict quality controlled conditions.
